Dhwani academy of percussion music ---a philanthropic endeavor of

Introduction

" Dhwani", literally translated, means 'sound' which- when arranged harmoniously and rhythmically- transforms itself into music. One of the intrinsic components of music is rhythm that manifests itself in varied forms throughout our entire course of life -from a child's first heartbeat in its mother's womb to the time he breathes his last before leaving earth forever. In fact, rhythm is so inextricably woven into the whole pattern of the universe that the world would not have been the same had rhythm not been there.

Our Pledge

As an institute of percussion music, DAPM (Dhwani Academy of Percussion Music) pledges to devote itself to the nurturing of a new generation of percussionists wedded to the cause of promoting ‘rhythm' as a concept of total music able to establish and perpetuate a tradition of its own.
